GEO FLORAL SHORTS

TopASOS, Shorts: exact, ASOS (low in stock), similar herehere and here, BootiesTarget (black unavailable), similar here, Bag: Kate Spade (old).

Almost a month after returning from our beach trip, I am finally getting around to sharing my final look from the week! They always say to save the best for last, and these shorts were definitely one of my favorite looks of the week. After being inspired by Dr. Zoe Hart once again and her ability to rock a variety of adorable shorts on Hart of Dixie, I decided to break away from the ever so common cut-off jean shorts and opt for a dressier evening look. When the weather turns warm dresses become my go-to. I could wear a sun or maxi dress every day of the summer if I had to. However, I am definitely looking forward to lovely printed shorts this season. I was also very excited to re-style this boxy crop top worn here. The possibilities with this top are endless! Check out the Zoe Hart version below.

JO MALONE & OTHER FRAGRANCE STAPLES

I am almost embarrassed to say I have been due for a new perfume for quite awhile now. Over the past few months since I used up every last drop of my previous bottle, I have been living on samples from Sephora and searching for the perfect new scent. After doing my fair share of research and sampling I finally found the perfect one! Even after narrowing down my top picks, it still wasn't an easy decision. I am usually a "one scent at a time" kinda girl. However, after this search I know my collection needs some serious work. Eventually, I would love to have 3-4 staple perfumes I use regularly. Read below to find out which ones I would choose!

A few weeks ago, Dan and I popped into Nordstrom to do some perfume shopping. This was my first time sampling Jo Malone and let me tell you if you haven't already, go try it! I love the way they combine fragrances and their collection is so unique! At first, I have my heart set on 'Lime Basil & Mandarin'. I had heard many wonderful things about this scent and it smelled even better in person. Then I tried their 'Blackberry & Bay' and I was torn. In the end, Blackberry & Bay was the winner. One, because it smelled uh-mazing and two, because it was Dan's favorite (letting your man pick out your perfume is a no-brainer ladies). For a fruity & floral combination try mixing Blackberry & Bay with 'Orange Blossom' (you can ask for samples). Runners up included Tom Ford 'Black Orchid' and Viktor & Rolf "Flowerbomb. These four would definitely be in my go-to staple collection! What are some other fragrances you have tried, used, and loved? I am always looking for new ones!

FLORAL CROP TOP

Top: Lush Print Woven Crop Top, Nordstrom (unavailable), similar herehere, and here, Skirt: Target (unavailable), similar here, Booties: Kacie Peep Toe Bootie, Target, BraceletILY Couture

Let me just start by saying this outfit made me feel very "Zoe Hart", which if you know me well, is the TV personality's style I envy the most (in the best way possible). Whoever is responsible for her wardrobe is a total style genius. I have to admit, Hart of Dixie is quite possibly the cheesiest television show of all time. However, I just can't help myself from watching Ms. Zoe Hart prance around Bluebell every week in all sorts of things that make me swoon. Good work Rachel Bilson and HOD Wardrobe Stylist!

I have worn this faux leather skirt many times before. It is a staple in my closet and I love finding new ways to style it. I especially love the mix of feminine and edgy in this outfit. I have never been brave enough to try the ever-so-popular crop top until now. After trying this floral one you better believe I will be looking for ways to incorporate more of them into my wardrobe this spring and summer. And yes, they CAN be styled in many classy ways!

If you decide to try a crop top for the first time or are loving everything floral right now, feel free to share how you style them! Also, here is one of my favorite and similar looks from Zoe Hart for your enjoyment.

PASTEL PRETTY

So excited to share my first ever collaboration with Chloe of Nomad en Vogue! I have loved Chloe's sense of style since I first stumbled upon her blog about a year ago. She is one of the many bloggers that inspired me to start Elementary Style. What I love about Chloe is her ability to mix a variety of styles and price points to create classic yet flawless looks. Not to mention, she is a total southern sweetheart! After looking through her blog it's easy to see that she isn't afraid to try new things and she has fun with it - make sure to check out her oh-so inspiring looks!

Chloe and I decided to put some of spring's hottest trends to use for this collaboration: pastels and monochromatic looks. I decided to share a semi-monochromatic lilac look, while Chloe will be sharing a full monochromatic pale pink look today on her blog (which I absolutely adore).

When it comes to lilac, I am 110% crushing on this hue and I can't seem to get enough of it. Although I tend to lean more toward classic neutral pieces, I love throwing new pops of color into my daily wardrobe, and it sure has been easy to do this spring! Even with this monochromatic pastel look I decided to mix in some bright white and nude because it felt more "me". I have been wanting to try a midi skirt this season and when I spotted this one I knew it was the one. Even better, I knew it would be a perfect piece for this exciting collab. See additional photos and outfit details below!

COLORBLOCK CUT-OUT DRESS

Dress: BB Dakota Ripley Dress (sold out), similar here and here, BlazerASOS, Heels: Sole Society Julianne Hough Collection (unavailable), similar here, Necklace: Forever 21 (unavailable), similar here, BraceletStella & Dot, SunglassesLC Lauren Conrad

I usually plan the outfit posts that I am going to feature on the blog. However, this was not one of them. Although I did do a lot of planning when it came to our trip and the outfits I would wear since I have been dying to get away from my winter wear, I had not planned on shooting this particular one. However, when your husband who rarely jumps at the idea of taking more pictures offers to take more pictures, you take him up on it (love you babe)! Also, when you have an hour and a half wait for dinner, you find a way to kill time.

I am sure this dress would have ended up on the blog eventually, seeing as how it's one of my favorites. It is special to me for a few reasons. One, because it is one of the two items I bought last summer and had permission to buy (both were dresses I may add). After being on the job hunt for almost two years and having my summer opportunity fall through at the last minute, we decided we would have to stick to a strict budget until a job was provided. Sure enough, at the end of another long summer, I got my first big girl job! Dan has always been very good at surprising me with little gifts and he knows how much even the smallest thing like a new dress means to me. I don't know what it is about going out in a new dress, but it just makes me feel so fun, flirty, and beautiful! I am sure many of you ladies feel the same way. I also love this dress because it's what I wore to celebrate our first anniversary. When I first started to look, I originally wanted something white, but this one caught my eye instead. In the end, I was very happy with my decision and still love wearing this dress today!

MEET ME IN PANAMA

HatJCREW, Tank: exact LC Lauren Conrad (old), similar here, JeansOld Navy, FlatsSole Society Lauryn in Frappe, SunglassesForever 21, BraceletsLily and Laura

So we're not quite in Panama, but that sure is how I feel every time I put on this hat. After trying on multiple hats for our trip to the beach this style and fit was the winner. It just so happened to be a JCREW outlet find that was on super sale too. Love when that happens! I loved pairing this hat with a simple black and white tank and relaxed boyfriend jeans for a casual dinner the other night. Not gonna lie. So far our trip has been wonderful! Great weather and even better company. This is the first week-long vacation we have taken alone since our honeymoon and we are loving the relaxed lifestyle so far. I have been in such good spirits the past few days with all this sunshine and warmth. I just might not come home!
